Features

Portfolio planning software built around your own records.

Each feature below explains what it does, why it matters and how Ada Okafor, our fictional example investor, uses it. The planner organises and calculates; every decision stays with you.

Planning Dashboard

What it does

Brings your current position, the three scenarios you defined, your asset mix against target, dividend income and true return together on one screen.

Why it matters

A plan you cannot see at a glance is a plan you stop checking. One screen makes a monthly check-in quick.

Example with Ada. Ada opens the Dashboard on the first Saturday of each month. In under five minutes she sees whether her contributions are on schedule and which part of her mix has moved away from her targets.

Goal Tracking

What it does

Sets your legacy target in today's money or future naira, tests it against your budget, and adds other goals such as a home, a car or school fees. A property affordability tool and a lump-sum schedule sit alongside.

Why it matters

Inflation changes what a naira target means over decades. Seeing both values keeps the goal honest.

Example with Ada. Ada writes her family legacy fund in today's money, with retirement at 60. She adds a home deposit at 40 as a separate goal so it does not quietly eat into the long-term plan.

Portfolio Tracking

What it does

Records every holding, buy and sale. NGX share and ETF prices refresh in the app; other assets such as mutual funds, bonds or property are priced by you. Return is shown as a true money-weighted figure (XIRR), and broker statements can be imported.

Why it matters

Accurate records are the base of every review and of any handover. A true return figure stops large deposits from flattering the result.

Example with Ada. Ada switches on the three holdings she owns from the alphabetical NGX list and imports last year's broker statement. The list is for finding her own holdings, never a set of suggestions.

Dividend Monitoring

What it does

Logs dividends received, gross and net of withholding tax, and shows expected payments on a dividend calendar based on the records you keep.

Why it matters

Dividends are easy to miss when they arrive in different accounts. A complete log also helps a family trace payments later.

Example with Ada. When a dividend alert arrives, Ada records the net amount in the Dividends log. At year end she can see what her holdings paid her in total.

Asset Allocation Monitoring

What it does

Compares today's mix with the target weights you set, flags any holding, sector or asset class above the limit you chose, and lists the gaps in a Buy & trim worksheet. The worksheet never names a security to buy.

Why it matters

Portfolios drift as prices move. Checking the mix against your own written limits keeps risk where you intended it.

Example with Ada. Ada set a limit of 20% for any single holding. After a strong year, one holding is flagged as above her cap, and she decides at her review what, if anything, to do.

Scenario, Simulation and Stress Testing

What it does

Projects three scenarios from your own return and inflation assumptions, runs 500 simulated paths to show a range of outcomes, replays historical NGX All-Share years, applies four editable shocks, and compares different monthly amounts in a reality check.

Why it matters

A single straight line hides uncertainty. Ranges and shocks show how sensitive a plan is to the assumptions behind it. They are illustrations, not forecasts.

Example with Ada. Ada tests what a naira devaluation shock would do to her current mix, then uses the reality check to see how raising her monthly amount by ₦25,000 changes the picture under the same assumptions.

Plan Health Scorecard

What it does

Runs 20 fixed checks across the whole plan, including emergency cover, savings rate, life cover, a written will with named beneficiaries, diversification and costs, and marks each OK, Review or Gap.

Why it matters

A long-term plan can fail for reasons that have nothing to do with markets, such as no emergency fund or no named beneficiary.

Example with Ada. Ada's scorecard shows a Gap on emergency cover. She sets a target of six months of costs held outside the portfolio before raising her investing amount.

Legacy Documentation (Investment Policy Statement)

What it does

Generates a written Investment Policy Statement from your plan: your goal, timeline, target mix, limits, review dates and selling rule, ready to print and sign.

Why it matters

Written rules make decisions calmer and give the people you trust a clear explanation of how you intended the portfolio to be run.

Example with Ada. Ada prints and signs her Investment Policy Statement and stores it with her will, so her executor can see the approach she chose.

Wealth Transfer and Estate Records

What it does

Tracks net worth and your legacy estate across assets, keeps scorecard records for your will, beneficiaries and insurance, and saves your whole plan to a backup file you can restore on another device.

Why it matters

A plan only becomes a legacy if someone can find and understand it. Keeping records current is the practical part of wealth transfer.

Example with Ada. Each January Ada saves a fresh backup file and notes where it is kept in the letter that sits with her will.

Rule-based, not AI. Every flag, check and insight in the planner comes from fixed, readable rules (for example, "a single holding is above the limit you set"). The planner does not use artificial intelligence to analyse markets, and it never selects investments.

No recommendations. The planner lists every NGX share and ETF alphabetically so you can find what you already own. Being listed is not a recommendation, and the planner never suggests what to buy or sell.
